Eco Canvas is a recently added new fabric at Spoonflower, and I took full advantage of their Free Swatch Day to test out this new print of mine. I have six vintage mid-century modern dining chairs that are in desperate need of a fabric facelift. With new swatch in hand, I have finally found the combination of print and fabric quality that I want to use in re-doing the padded seats of these dining chairs. Hooray for digital printing on demand!
One of the most gratifying things about being a designer has always been seeing the artwork I've created come to life in a tangible product, whether for a clothing manufacturer or now in my own designs for Spoonflower. I designed this print as a new addition to an existing collection, Folk Fusion, and I just love seeing it materialize in this new fabric.
The colors are clear and bright with a visible canvas-y texture. It feels sturdy yet supple with a nice drape for the weight. Spoonflower describes the fabric as a heavyweight, 100% polyester canvas made with 45% recycled content. Bags, accessories, upholstery and home decor are all the perfect projects to make with Eco Canvas. I can't wait to get the yardage for my new chair seats!
